At the Reservoir Project, we believe that everyone deserves art. It is one of the only things in this world that is truly universal, and so we feel that access to it should be universal as well. Our mission is to help achieve this goal by providing opportunities, events, and funds to help communities experience art through musicals, concerts, ballets, art exhibitions, etc.

OUR MISSION

MEET THE FOUNDER

Hi! My name is Elizabeth Xiao, a Class of 2026 student at American Heritage Broward in Plantation, Florida.

Growing up, I was always surrounded by art. I have been a ballerina since I was three and a pianist since I was six, and these activities have brought me so much joy, friendship, and opportunity. To this day, some of my favorite things to do are playing piano, singing, playing guitar, dancing, going to concerts, and rapping the entirety of the musical “Hamilton”.

But not everyone is so fortunate.

Across America and even just South Florida, thousands of families struggle to access art due to physical and financial reasons — separating them from something that was supposed to be universal.

That’s why I created the Reservoir Project, to help bridge this gap and help families access the art that I am so grateful to have. So many students in South Florida alone have rallied to the cause, helping to send families to musicals and ballets and providing scholarships to dance programs across the country.

We would love for you to join us!
